At Parma and elsewhere he was always seen as a creative player and not a goalscorer.. only scored 1 in 4 for Parma i think but was seen as top class...i think newcastle was 1 in 5.

Pretty sure when Andy Cole and Tino Asprilla were signed by MUFC and Newcastle there was no January transfer window.

You could sign players throughout the season back then up until late March iirc when it shut.

In any case, i still don't believe it's as difficult to get quality players as some will have you believe.

If they really want him that's fine but all I ask is to get it done. We must have spoken to him and Napoli already in the summer. So no need for another transfer saga lasting the whole of January and into deadline day. If he is available and interested we should get him in asap.
