In the summer tho, the players we signed all seemed to happen within a few days, Bolaise was linked by that journo down south then a day later signed, Williams name came up, 2 days later he was done.

We defo prefer flying under the radar on getting deals done.

I know, but lets say he has told United "I only want to play for Everton", which is unlikely, but lets assume, United have a bid of 24m from WBA and we wont go above 20m, United will just not accept our bid and tel Morgs that Everton have to match the WBA bid.

Im waffling at this point, but its not as black and white as people imagine, its a complex game of chess.

If you take that a bit further, on the assumption he has agreed and wants to come to Everton surely he would instruct his agent to inform WBA that he has no interest in going there so don't bother bumping up the fee ? Obviously there will be a figure below which United wouldn't sell.

Possibly mate, but as we saw with Sissoko, players dont always tell the truth.

Its all about dem dollar, dollar bills at the end of the day.

...well that's very certain. I think he's a Portsmouth lad, let's hope the rumour is jarg.

I think there's a Portsmouth guy who says this is a very much in deal. Which is mental. Mental.

No current Ipswich player is good enough for us. They're not even good enough for Ipswich.

Only thing I can say is he's only 23 (I think) so could come good I guess.

You were right how? Because of a negative net spend?
Stones was always going to leave and we had nothing to attract the players we went for. Sissoko for one turned us down because we had no European football.
If you believe a billionaire businessman is going to come in, wipe the debt free but then not inject funds for transfers and then think he's going to get anything back on his investment then your spamming of every thread with nonsense knows no limits.

"Oh but what about the esk"

Jesus lad, reign it in. You're boring.
He was right in the sense that we didn't spend more than we recouped. There could be myriad reasons for this and none of us know what they are. The OP is right on one point, if we do the same again this window we will be giving the impression that we do not have resources and this will impact recruitment in the future.

Disagree personally. He played in the most negative team in the league and did the job required of him.

He's been a massive player for Sevilla - reminds me of Fellaini at his best for us when he bossed the midfield.

I just recall pissing myself when he was linked to the vermin, cant say ive watched much of Sevilla, bar the final, were to be fair he looked decent.

He used to be a bit of a workhorse type destroyer but is more of a footballer these days lol

In Spain every player is required to have a release clause. I wonder what his would be? Spanish clubs tend to slip up with low clauses.

welcome jose
