It would all come down to price for me. If he's available for cheap, he'll be an improvement on Jags and will help us in the short-term. If he's going to cost upwards of 4-5m, then swerve.

Fonte would not be a bad signing. I don't see us prioriting him but if the price is right I'd take him, definitely. He won the Euros and not to forget he was a part of the back 4 which denied France for 120 minutes.

Fonte is a 1 year and 4 months younger than Jags.

Fonte would be a pointless signing imo, Holgate, Mori and Williams are all good enough to see us through to the end of the season with Jagielka as back up if nobody younger is available.
