If we haven't secured a new player by the weekend then there is something going wrong yet again at the club.

Means they are messing about or haven't got going yet for any real transfers at a time when we are desperate for them. Even the manager is calling them out on it, so if they mess about now then it's the summer all over again and nothing has really changed.

Not loans.. sell. This wasn't done in the summer sadly but now is our chance to ship out the garbage

Kones contract ends this summer so now is the last chance to make something on him and free up wages. Don't see the point of him being here now with only league games to play.

If we extend his deal that will be the final straw for me

Just smacks of the fact he's going to stick with two no hopers between the sticks!

Sign a top younger keeper who can be here for years and get some solidarity going rather than bringing in useless keepers who are far too old and lack quality who constantly need replacing!

If there was big money available I wouldn't trust him either. It's clear he doesn't go beyond his basic remit.
He doesn't watch the youth or spend time assessing targets. Therefore he has a much smaller field of reference than SW.
How many players does SW watch and statistically analyse? RK only knows those he's had direct contact with hence Morgan and Depay.
He's far more likely to make poor acquisitions i.e. Bolasie. Personally I'd strictly give the final say to SW in a head of recruitment capacity but perhaps have someone else do the negotiating as this isn't SW's field of expertise.

I have to disagree as much a new keeper is needed, there's a number of other issues need addressing first, to be fair Robles hasn't really done to much wrong up to now.

What decent keeper are we going to get in January? We are struggling to get a player that isn't wanted or played by his team, so getting a good keeper at the moment is going to be nearly impossible.

So it's still the same as the old days small budget for transfers? Oh isn't it great being an Everton fan nothing's seems to be changing from the Moyes days.

A mad thought but maybe there's just seven days out of thirty one gone in January and we'd be a bit daft to draw conclusions from that.

Sounds radical but just think about it for a moment.
