....I'm reserving opinion on individuals but Fonte seems very short-term. We are relatively safe this season so have no need for a short-term fix, RK should be building his side with a view to the future. That's only my view.

It's important to build on a solid foundation - hence sorting out the centre backs and deep lying midfielders. Once we stop shipping goals through errors we stop losing, everyone's confidence will increase and we will start to play much better. So for me - get Fonte on a 3 year deal.

Yup 100% this. That is why i would dismiss any rumours of the likes of sigurdsson, michael keane or jordan pickford.
None of these teams would let there players go at this point of the season as it would cost them more money in the long run if they went down
