Whisper it but, I'm actually not that bothered if we play more direct

Not bothered in the slightest

Technical build up football is all well and good, but it's not the be-all-end-all for me IWBO

This. More direct. And getting the ball forward more quickly, is what a lot of us were moaning at Martinez to do. Is the alternative to be less direct and get the ball forward more slowly?!?!

I certainly don't want nothing but hoofball, but I don't think that will happen.

Having a big guy up top with a decent touch will enable us to have someone who can hold the ball up, and let us play in the opposition final third more. That doesnt' mean long, high balls, but getting it up the pitch quicker and have it stick, which isn't one of Rom's strengths.

We must be the only club to have spent more on managers than players over the last year!

odd statement. The amount we've spent on koeman and martinez is about the equivalent of lookman and gueye, nevermind the big money signings of bolasie and williams. Back to the mathematics board.

Just read that Big Sam looking to raise funds by selling Benteke, in Telegraph who are noramlly reliable, worth a punt?

For me, he should be a summer priority, without doubt. If he's still there like, get him for a snip price at about £25m and we're laughing, he's a ready made replacement for lukaku if we do sell him imo but also wouldn't say he's any worse than lukaku so could be battling it out together for club and country. Thought he'd thrive under allardyce, would be weird for them to sell him imo.

Hes not even on the same planet as Lukaku.

There was a moment in Southampton or Hull game that infuriated me. Lukaku headed the first ball like 5-6 yards away from himself and went to chase it because there was no another Everton player around. And this has happened for like 2,5 years now.
Now imagine someone else winning the first ball thus setting Lukaku up one-on-one with a player. Or another body in the opposition box to meet a cross. Lord, I love dreaming!
Having said that, I think that Belfodil will turn out a good buy. The reports given to us by our Belgian friends indicate that he is exactly the kind of a player that would complement Lukaku perfectly - strong and industrious. I don't know why people expect us to sign another goal machine. We have one, he just needs help to become even better. If till the end of the season Belfodil scores 3-4 goals and directly or indirectly helps Lukaku scoring 7-8 more, it will be a great return to start with.
But what happens if our goal machine Lukaku gets injured?

Belfodil may well be the man to generate space for Lukaku but he doesn't strike me as the person to step into his shoes if needed.

@Mikey_Fitzgerald any room on the Saido bus?
