All this just reaffirms what we already know and suspect... Usmanov is about to unload a fairly heavy investment into Everton, one way or another.

Don’t lose any sleep over it... it’s just the Journos trying to keep plucky old Everton in their place!

I just skim read it and picked out Merih Demiral as being a target.

He by the way is like Vidic.

Dani Olmo is an absolute baller. My list of young talent I'd like in blue also has Sander Berge and Fillipo Melegoni on it. However, we need to be signing a blend of youth and experience. Players who have that aura, who have already won stuff and know the level pf dedication and effort it takes to get there and are willing and able to impart that to the youngsters who can carry it forward...

No problem with Rodriguez, we're well stocked in the up and comers department (Holgate, Gbamin, Kean, Richarlison etc), so in addition to a banner signing I'd like some young midfield reinforcement and a DC ready to hit the ground running.

Gbamin is actually 24 and 25 in sept.

Id say we have Holgate, Kenny, Davies, Kean, DCL, Richarlison as the younger group.

Thats 6 players...my view is that to have a really top squad you need to have 11 players who are in the younger age bracket who will come through and push the experienced players out...

Then gradually bring in more players the next bracket below in age to push those players who are then classed as the first teamers.

Id like to see us sign 5 more young players to really build a young high potential squad over the next 4 windows.

Superstars just as Hamez on loan are welcome as they will help to bring out the best in the youngsters.

I agree. I was looking solely at this window in my shopping list.

has he not only just gone to juve???

Yes mate but theyve got loads of centre backs and are playing De Ligt and Bonucci ahead of him.

He's apparently eager to get playing time...

Leicester apparently keen to partner him with Soyoncu and Arsenal linked as well.

....the Branthwaite links seem too strong to be false. He looks mobile for a big lad, £800k would seem low risk for a 17 year old. As you say, it’s a fruitful strategy buying youngsters from the lower leagues. I’d image Feeney and/or Gibson will be released if he comes in.

i would expect us to acquire another CB for first team consideration and Todibo appears the Zouma-type Brands has been looking for to partner Mina.
Branthwaite wasn't in the Carlisle squad yesterday so hopefully he won't be cup-tied after we cruise into the 4th round draw later today...

Telegraph crying about our record losses but says we are interested in MERIH DEMIRAL from Juve.
Image result for usmanov
Pulls out loose change from pocket

We already knew about the losses and we were all expecting it, no biggie.

I actually thought it was a positive piece, this in particular

“Sources close to the club confirmed record losses would be released within days for last season, but maintained they were not at risk of breaching financial fair play rules and long-term investment in the squad and the club’s new stadium would not be affected”.

They clearly have a plan, and remain ambitious despite how it’ll be spun by the likes of the Esk who has no idea what that plan will be.
