Financials are so bad that we'll just have to get a few loans that on paper cost not a lot in the short term. Anyone know any billionaire accountants who could work out how to play the system?

...yep, Everton are not alone in having problems appointing the right manager. The DoF is just as crucial a post in the modern game and Walsh was very, very poor especially given he brought in the likes of Tosun after Koeman.

i imagine we will look to sell as many of the fringe players as possible, including Jonjoe Kenny.
Think it was a knee jerk reaction to what he'd "allegedly" done at Leicester City, again no outcry from the fan base.Don't know who's idea Keane was but it puts Tosun in the shade.

It's record losses. The club is run like a mad house. No one needs to spin that.

Look at the sheer waste on wages, fees and severance packages in the 4 years since Moshiri has been here.

He's a disaster.

I know right “disaster” with his mate from Russia coming in a “sponsoring” the new stadium and more

Real disaster that isn’t it? ‘Sake!

It is a problem really. You cant just give money to the club no matter who is backing it. To put it very simply for the mens senior team to progress (away from the stadium, youth, and womens teams) the club dont need capital they need income.

Its not as straight forward as it used to be for an owner to gift money (capital) to his club, their are limits of that in FFP. Its about income now and growing that, not capital even our owners have plenty of it.

Aye mate however that isnt happening until we get the new stadium realistically. I think we are slowly getting over the worst of it (koemans splurge) and as you say alot of the deadwoods contracts expire may 2020 - may 2021.

In the summer we spent £28 million net and could still get shot of 1 or 2 this month for a fee yet we still had funds to bid for Doucoure / Zaha.

Add Usmanovs recent comments and his alleged meeting with Ancelotti - In short im not worrying whatsoever.

Having a bad run while in the EL isn't that rare.I don't remember that many forum posts unhappy when we appointed him.Silva on the other hand had a touch of insanity about it,who in their right mind takes on someone who was sacked while half way through getting Watford close to relegation?

Point was Koeman wasn't doing well when we appointed him he had steadied the ship at Saints after an AWFUL run, but was only appealing in Name only.

Silva was madness. He was 4th when we first showed interest, turned his head and then absolute freefall from there. No reason to appoint him whatsoever.

I trust Mosh to play the system, at the AGM he'll stand up and say "the esk said we were in for record losses but we've actually made 150 million profit, we've found the Arteta money Bill had invested it in BitCoin and completely forgot about it, and made 200 million from it good old Bill"

Worst thing about Keane is that they clearly didn't look into how he defends within the unit. Keane is a good centre-half *in a defensive team, who have full backs who stay back*.

The idea of bringing him to Everton, putting him in a defence with Baines and Coleman, two of the more attacking full backs in the league and thinking he would thrive is absolute lunacy. At Burnley he had both full backs staying back as well as two midfielders sitting in front, rarely got dragged out, was able to focus on his battle.

It's possible that most of the shareholders weren't aware how bad the situation was until the numbers were shared with them ahead of the AGM
No official figures have been released yet, the only figures in the public domain are unofficial suppositions based on widely accepted or rumoured numbers.

On a business level that needs to happen, sell to buy with small positive net spends mate, it should be a sell to buy philosophy until at least 2023. Player trading or whatever you want to call it, is what the business needs. Until the squad is regulated and trimmed of cost. Over that time frame you would hope for a soft landing with lads contracts running out or selling for their book prices at the very least. Then we have a few academy lads that are pure profits. Like Pennighton or Dowell even DCL and Davis as surprising as that sounds as they are pure profit players. We might also see a big sale like Pickford, Richarlison, Gylfi, Digne etc players there is a market for. That may be unavoidable. There are two ways of getting income in to the club until the ground is built 1) through commercial deals and 2) player trading/wages saved. The latter the most likely.

Practically speaking, all fit our philosophy appears to be going young, developing and hoping for the best. we have had awful luck with injuries this season all fit can we get a purr out of our existing squad all fit? maybe with Carlo, would you back Brands to player trade and make three good signings over two or three summer windows? maybe. Its the way we will have to go unfortunately, take your medicine stuff. in my opinion.

Unless Usminov, if you believe he is involved comes in and sponsors Goodison for 100 mill a year, unlikely i would say. Getting money into the club is an issue.
