As has been mentioned, Villa have had horrible luck with injuries. A few experienced premier league players for a reasonable sum of money could be just what they're looking for in the relegation battle.

We could book a minibus to Birmingham.

Villa may need to sell not buy. They are close to being in breach of FFP.

I Love the idea of having big names playing for Everton, but there has to be a trade off. We have tried signing the "big name for the sake it" signings, looking for a shortcut to success, like spending more gets you more, and what we are left with is a dozen expensive flops on massive wages who we can't shift.

If we can balance that out, have some hungry, younger players desperate to prove a point and who are honoured to be playing for our team, and mix that with the right big names who take you to the next level, that's the only way we are going to be able to compete. Because currently, the cost of replacing near enough an entire 11, using the big name only method, will cripple us.

A relegation threatened, injury hit team will not be dumb enough to shell out for players they can clearly see aren’t good enough and don’t have any bottle.

If we weren't in need of entire new midfield I'd agree with you. Good player who's in a bit of a finishing slump but should bounce back provided Milan aren't so stupid to give up on him.
 

We should be planning ahead with our signings instead of our recent piecemeal random individuals purchases who cant play together as a team.
We need to recruit a team to get us out of the Championship asap
