Agree with that mate, although between him, Dom and Holgate it is Davies who still needs to kick on.
DCL wasn't exactly inspiring when he was shoved out on the left but cant stop scoring now he is playing in his natural position. The rest of this season will either make or break him. Personally I really hope he makes it as we need local lads at the club.
Unsure Davies will. Cant see his panic passing getting better

Daniel Sturridge is surely worth a throw of the dice?

it appears that most of our signings in the summer will probably be from other leagues. January is a good time to get one or two in to get them ready for the new season. Buying them in the summer means it’s another season of “transition”. That’s a good reason for me to buy in jan but it’s obviously not valued by Brands.

.....and now the end is near, here’s the Toffee transfer update for Tuesday morning, 28th January;

- According to Tuttosport, Everton are very serious in their pursuit of Inter Milan midfielder, Matias Vecino. They say Inter have dropped their asking price from an initial €25m to €20m, and The Toffees have submitted a €14m bid. The 28 year Uruguayan has given his consent to the move, it’s now a question of the clubs agreeing a fee. Calciomercato reporter, Fabrizio Romano, says the asking price is a negotiable €25m.

- Gremio Director, Klauss Camara, has repeated there has been no offers for attacker, Everton Soares. Globo Esporte suggest the Toffees have not submitted a bid because they are having trouble with Financial Fair Play. Everton has reported a big loss and can’t spend much on players. If the Brazilian can’t make the switch, Everton will try again in the summer, with negotiations being handled by agent Giuliano Bertolucci, who worked on the deals for Richarlison and Bernard.

- TurkishFootball.com continue to report Everton are lining up a summer deal for 22 year old AS Roma winger, Cengiz Under.

- The Liverpool Echo suggest up to 8 players could leave Everton in the next few days. They list, Oumar Niasse: Cuco Martina: Beni Baningime: Lewis Gibson: Morgan Feeney: Korede Adedoyin: Antony Evans: and Nathangelo Markelo.

- Following links to Everton, Sky Sports Germany report Juventus’ midfielder Emre Can’s transfer to Borussia Dortmund is imminent, but Spurs and Manchester United are looking to hijack the deal.
