The Profit & Sustainability position has been a bit murky to say the least since the summer.

They had to sell Richarlison when they did and probably had to do the same with Gordon.

Isn't £40m of the Gordon money paid upfront? That has all the hallmarks of a business needing a rapid cash injection for accounting purposes.

Create the discontent for a sale, delay it, keep the new manager hanging, and you have the usual scenario where they'll say they tried but ran out of time.

The storm is probably only having a portion of that money to spend and the club being as unattractive as it possibly can be, entirely through its own efforts.

I'm not surprised at the way the day is unfolding, only that it more or less confirms, barring a miracle, that we are going down, and without much of a whimper either.

Managed to sign the likes of Onana in the summer alright! I think whilst we had a recognised name as manager we could at least tempt players. Now we have nothing and the club is a mess from top to bottom.
Think its more to do with us being 19th an one of the favourites to go down and fans harassing Gordon leaving the ground.

This is football for you. I have mates who support Wigan and Oldham and they've had it far, FAR worse than us over the past couple of decades.
Of course, but I suppose that doesn't make our situation much better, especially sharing a city with the RS. Their fans are fuming over being in 9th place atm, they've won everything to win under their manager, their fans are so proud and probably have so many great memories. My best days as a fan in 24 years is winning a semi final penalty shootout vs Manchester United B-Team and surviving relegation last season. How could such a brilliant historic club fall to such lows like now

Id be the first to say, if we were skint - but we actually aren't in my opinion mate.
