January Transfer Window 2023

I wonder if we could get Weghorst on the cheap. Not sure if Burnley could sell in Jan if he’s out on loan but he had an impact in the WC and is a similar style to what we want from Calvert Lewin.

Weghorst and Brereton Diaz both on the cheap, similar style to DCL would be good signings for a January window in my view.

Then we just need a playmaker who can move between the lines and put things together.

I really cannot be arsed about January transfers..such is the current feeling I have about the direction of the Club.

And yes, I know, I posted in the thread but I am just flummoxed about where we, as a Club, is currently going.

We are in such a state of flux I cannot see how we can get out of it...'players' like the Watford tw@t who, seemingly, wants a 'bigger' club. FFS!

I wouldn’t be too worried about any player not coming who doesn’t want to come.

Desire is a pre-requisite, and if a player hasn’t got a desire to play for us then it’s a bad signing regardless of anything else.

Like the look of Marcus Thuram in the cameo he had in the Morocco game. Big unit but mobile with it. Good age too at 25

He'll have far better options than Everton unfortunately. We need to be signing players like him when they join the likes of Gladbach, not now.

Well, as ive said, we did name 25 players in September, so if nothing else we need to get "make room", yes im aware that the Keeper we got is out of contract in 2 weeks also.

So thats 2 spaces at the very least.

I think having to pretty much revamp your forward line in January comes with so many risks that whoever you bring won't hit the ground running it's why you should do your major business in the summer. I get strengthening defence and midfield but the negligence in forward areas is alarming. We bought players who dont score or assist much to add to the others that dont. It's weird as Lamps was known as an attacking manager before he came here.

The risk of no full revamp of our forward line = playing in the Championship next season !!!!

He's not good enough mate hes a bog standard target man we just released obe.

The risk of no full revamp of our forward line = playing in the Championship next season !!!!

Oh of course, we have to bring two forwards in and I would like a playmaker if I'm being greedy. I'm just saying we have dug ourselves into a hole and goal scorers and creators that will come in and hit the ground running are much harder to get in this window.
