By falling apart do you mean "thank god, we don't have that much money"?

We simply cannot afford that.
Would it surprise you if I said I dont recall ever watching him play? He's pretty decent but he's not 40/50m decent.

watch us chuck 50 mil at newcastle for chris woods on deadline dayObligation to buy at £40m+? That's risky from Wolves if I'm being honest.
Yeah that's my take too. I like him but that's obscene money. He's pretty decent but he's not 40/50m decent.
Only actually started 10 of those 40 appearances. His return is fine considering. He'll be fine for Wolves but the price is crazy.
I'd be more surprised if you didWould it surprise you if I said I dont recall ever watching him play?
It's a reasonable amount if Ings comes in and gets 10 league goals between Jan and end of the season.Would just be typical Everton for us to go and sign the only No9 who can rival Dominic Calvert-Lewin for injury proneness ? As for £25m being a 'reasonable amount' for a lad who is 30, well, I don't even know where to begin with that one. Hopefully you meant £2.5m, and he comes with a receipt.

That's something he's easily capable of doing.
How much is staying in the PL worth? A fair bit more than 25M hence why I think it's reasonable given the obvious gap currently in the scoring department.

I'm afraid I disagree. What is it they say, never go back? This isn’t even a quick fix, he’s been poor and well off the pace imo.Signing Gana made sense.
We needed a new midfield immediately and Gana was a cheap option who already knew the club and the league.
Of course, we need to look out for the best young talent around, but they don't all succeed either and sometimes they can block the path for the young players in the academy.
If there was an easy fix then I think every club would already be doing it, not just Everton.
Completely agree mate. I'd even stick Gana in there for the 'back six/backfour and 2 pivots' role for the short-term. Problem is that we have nobody who can play that "3rd midfielder" role to aid the two holding players.
That may be a little harsh on Iwobi, who has been a standout in 2022. If we played with one holding player then Iwobi could be that box-to-box link.
I think our front three is so poor, If we had anyone who could control a football like Iwobi can, I'd be sticking Iwobi out right, giving Patterson that licence to push on and then putting that tidy footballer we dont have in that space Iwobi takes now.
Whether that completely hurts Iwobi i dont know, but i'd have more faith in him understnading how to attack and coming inside than anyone else in that position, at present at least.
Im not totally convinced that Coady is a forgone conclusion, there may be an agreement in place between Wolves and Everton, but the lad himself will have a say and there are always three parties , if Wolves rocket up the table and their new manager fancies him, speaks to him, twists his arm and tells him hes key to the future and we tank, the lad will do what's best for him.
I think that was going to be Kudus, we will have to wait and see what happens.
He's pretty decent but he's not 40/50m decent.
