But are we likely to get 40 mil for him? Look at Richarlison. We get taken for a ride with that sale. We should have got more. We also need to look at completion. Arsenal and barca are supposedly after him too. Be great to get him but I find it had to see us getting him, as well as 2-3 other decent players, including a striker who can score.
I think 40 is realistic for Pickford. Kudus may no longer be viable but my general point is 30-40m is the amount needed for a player who offers genuine improvement as we’ve seen from the standard of the 10-15m players recruited in the summer. If we don’t have that money we need to find it and selling JP is probably the easiest route.

They got it wrong. They should have buy a Richy replacement with a big fee instead of buying standard poo players for 10-15m who, literally all three of them only provide 3 goals and 1 assist for this team and one of them is a midfield version of Yerry.

Lightning (i.e. JP saving us from relegation) will not strike twice
No one thing will save us from relegation, but Pickford is one of the biggest assets we have in that battle.

I’m very much in the camp that it would be extraordinarily dumb to sell our best player for the second window running while battling relegation.

The three of Garner(who I like by the way) Mcneil and Maupay felt like we were bringing in squad players when we didn't have a good enough first eleven. Mad

What do you like about Garner? Is it his inability to break into the weakest Everton midfield in living memory? He’s a championship player that hasn’t shown anything to suggest he can hack the premier league.

One mistake leads to another: failing to sell Anthony Gordon when he was at the top of his market value now leads us to selling Jordan Pickford when he is about to peak (and will glean a lower fee than we could possibly have gotten for Gordon).

We broke the Brian Clough and Peter Taylor rule. Sell a player when he peaks. Not a day before or after. We missed the peak for Gordon - even if it was obvious to many of us - and we will punt Pickford before his time. It's not one error that will relegate this club. It is the continuous accretion of these blunders that leads eventually to the perfect storm.
