Still expect them to start the hype with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and again waste time insteaf of getting new players in
With Everton you know what you get.
1. Over the hill ex stars
2. Cast offs
3. overpriced crap (Onana)
In January it will be a combination of 1 and 2!

I wouldn’t take less than 40 for JP, he’s england number 1 and in the best form of his career at a good age for a keeper. 18 months on the contract is not at the panic sale point yet.

Bearing in mind the sale would still allow us to do whatever business we were already planning (Gyokeres / Elanga?) plus spend the extra cash. I think we need one genuine quality attacker who can impact right away and 40m is the going rate. If the only way to get that is to sell JP it has to be considered.
But are we likely to get 40 mil for him? Look at Richarlison. We get taken for a ride with that sale. We should have got more. We also need to look at completion. Arsenal and barca are supposedly after him too. Be great to get him but I find it had to see us getting him, as well as 2-3 other decent players, including a striker who can score.

Could have done with that thinking on boxing day.

If we could have done the business against Bournemouth and Wolves like any half decent premier league team probably would have then we would have that small gap now and would have reeled in a few others floating in mid table in the process.

The situation for me is much bleaker than the one we found ourselves in last season and only looks to be getting worse and worse. As a collective they have had plenty of time to assess what we need. If we are scraping the barrel last week of Jan then we are heading out of this league.

It's not something that can ever be a 'fact', because you'd have to play the games again in an alternative universe where we didn't have him. It was always a ridiculous argument, Lukaku was just one in a long line of players that people didn't appreciate properly until they'd gone.
OK. I hear you. ?

Ridiculous piece of business. They didn't even pick the lad then he got injured in his first start.

What a farce
So that was the best part of forty million on those three when we were crying out for a forward it's negligence of the highest order. If we needed another winger or midfielder we could have gone younger for a cheaper option or used youth as squadies. I think Garner will be a good player but after Onana, Gana et Al we didn't need another one as desperately
