We could sign Lewandowski and it wouldn't change the fact we create nothing. Part of it is the manager and part of it is the wingers, full backs and midfield lack any sort of creativity whatsoever.
Whilst its true we need another playmaker, how many one on ones have we missed of late? If you have a goal scorer to take the few chances we make it can make a difference

You are right. Really we need a striker who is not so dependent on service. One with quick feet and a shot from outside the box. DCL is completely dependent on service

This. I think we need a number 9 who can hold the ball up to get us higher up the pitch as well as score goals. That’s why I’d like us to sign Gyokeres. He looks big and strong as well as a goal scorer.
Without DCL in the team we’re so easy to play against. Just sit deep and let us have the ball- no creativity in the final third and no threat from a ball crossed into the box.

Yea, while I do agree to a a point about Diaz + Gyokeres. I’m kind of hoping for the Baines, Jags, Cahill, Lescott type uplift in them as players. They were not exactly looking like International / prem stars beforre we got them.

Maddison for Leicester.....think being too optimistic.

Agree on Cahill but the other three were all highly rated players and had experience with England youth.

I think all 3 of them had premier league experience when we signed them (Lescott may have been injured).

Exactly same as Diaz + Gyokeres, both have International level experience, and DIaz played in England U19 / U20 Level.

Not saying they will be as successfull, but they have very similar CV's to the list of successfull Champ signings.

Does he miss the late chances at villa or when gray is clean through v Brentford at 1-0. Or both chances v spurs, or the late chances at Leeds, or DCL from 3 yards v Fulham or the 2 great chances v Leicester or the ones from Boxing Day. And there’s probably more.

As a bottom 6 team we ain’t going to create 5 Or 6 great chances every game, plenty of teams are winning games of 1 or 2 chances. Except us

Without Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the team we’re so easy to play against. Just sit deep and let us have the ball- no creativity in the final third and no threat from a ball crossed into the box.
He fits the profile I hope we can get it done

Just watching their highlights / goals...nothing stands out.

What "value" does Iwobi have?

Which clubs are offering him superior terms to what were paying him?

How many transfer offers have we had for him?

Im guessing the answer is zero for all three.

We should be selling and replacing.
His current deal expires in 18 months so you either sell or offer new terms/an extension.

It's decision time.

Like it or not he's currently one of our best players. Everton have kept on selling their best players/letting them leave and look where we are.

I'm not desperate to keep hold of Iwobi but it was the right move to offer an extension.

Alex Iwobi isn't an issue at Everton.

But he probably doesn’t except less than a 4yr deal which takes him up to 31, which isn’t old,
Personally I’d wait and see how this season goes and reevaluate in the summer, yes he will only have a year left, but if he’s done well and won’t sign we could get 15mil and move on, he’s done ok the last 7/8 months, but he’s hardly the main stay and driving force in our team.
His market value dips significantly once he enters the last 12 months. That's all it is.

We'd probably get £17/18m if we put him on the market now. We still vastly overpaid what he was worth.
