His current deal expires in 18 months so you either sell or offer new terms/an extension.

It's decision time.

Like it or not he's currently one of our best players. Everton have kept on selling their best players/letting them leave and look where we are.

I'm not desperate to keep hold of Iwobi but it was the right move to offer an extension.

Alex Iwobi isn't an issue at Everton.

Theres no decision to make. Sell if an offer arrives.

If not then offer him an extension without any increase.

Offering an extension is fine but not at 100k. No one at Everton deserves anything close to 5m per year

At what point are we going to wake up and stop paying top 4 wages to bottom half players

Or the fact he wasn’t match fit, and then picked up an injury

Madness to write the guy off already, plus regarding weakness of midfield might I remind you of Heitinga and Neville in CM positions

Neville was very good in CM until he reached the tail-end of his career, much better than the dross we are dealing with right now. Heitinga less so, but streets ahead of our modern day garbage.

I'm not necessarily writing Garner off forever, just stating the fact that there's been no evidence of him playing well in the PL, and that he's struggled to get into Everton's crappest ever side. There seems to be a real aversion to acknowledge this amongst Evertonians, as if he's actually been a great signing when he hasn't been at all. Thus far, he's been a very poor signing that can't even get on the pitch, never mind take control of it.

He's injured TBF..

Can the Coventry lad or Blackburn lad hold it up properly? Goal compilations on YouTube mean nothing to me with what we need.

I think the Coventry lad is probably our better bet for someone who can play back to goal. There's an argument we should go and sign both because they are different types of striker and we need 2 forwards

He came here with an injury then was just trying to find his way back had 1 half of 45 mins other than a few sub appearances and is now injured again and you have decided he is a 'very poor signing' no wonder our players just collapse in games with fans like this.

The fact we’re resorting to pretending he’s a creative player certainly is an issue.

His market value dips significantly once he enters the last 12 months. That's all it is.

We'd probably get £17/18m if we put him on the market now. We still vastly overpaid what he was worth.
If we gave him a new 4.5 yr deal on slightly better terms say an extra 1 mil a year. He would cost us 14/15 mil over that period if he’s on 60k a week now?

The club need to decide if they can sell him and then us that money to get a better attacking midfielder or number 10 than iwobi, personally I don’t think it would be that hard

The problem is, we are tying him down to a deal that pretty much guarantees he’ll be leaving the club in 5 years for nothing. There is quite simply no chance anyone pays a fee for him and matches his current wages. If we go down we’re taking him on £100k a week with us.

OK great. Just let me know when he (A) actually starts getting on the pitch, and (B) demonstrates some kind of competency as a premier league midfielder. Because at present, he's been about as much use as I would have been as a 15 million pound signing. You literally could have signed me and got the same level of return.
