I agree. But it's symbolic.

Everyone outside this club will get it. The message will be loud and clear: 'those teams in the bottom three after Christmas hardly ever escape the Championship'.

I remember a few posters on here telling me that Richarlison was not that good and that we would easily replace him, I said at the time that they should wait untill he had gone and then see if they still felt the same way. Can't be arsed with the vaults I'm too old to get involved with all that technology stuff but, I wonder if any of them have changed their opinion?

It wasn't just his ability, it was his attitude, he wanted to win and he dragged others along with him. His goals were handy too. I don't think we can begin to replace him on our budget, but, I do think we can replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin, we won't get a target man as good as him, but, seeing as he hardly ever plays, we need someone up front to be a focal point and to be a target for the route 1 stuff.

Undersold the lad aswell. I was all for selling him but I always said we need to be asking for 75M for him. He’s worth that now after his World Cup.

Never understood the flak Richy got from some blues, he was a cut above the absolute gash that’s was around him and dragged us out of the crap, and it was clear he would be very difficult to replace.

You can’t sell your best player (for less than the market rate then as well) and sign McNeill and maupay as the ones to replaces his goals and workrate.

Also in the range of 40+ mil with Arsenal and Barca after him. I'm sure he will come to the Prem but not for a relegation battle

Yes but he creates and scores goals. 2 things we currently don't do very well.

So someone similar to Kudus AND a striker is what is needed. Judging by Maupays performances we'd probably need 2 strikers and try and punt him now.
