The level of journalism is horrific. The lad from the echo has been a news reporter on some really difficult topics over the years

As such, you’d hope he would be comfortable asking difficult questions but it seems like none of them want to step up maybe out of fear of not being asked back
The one fella that had the temerity to slightly critisise the board left early on in tbe season.

Coincidence? I think not.
I got rid of it. Too many of the journalists there are far too onside with the teams and managers they are reporting on to be objective.
Yeah, binned it off a earlier this year, I think I have a month to run. (though I haven't bothered reading anything for ages)

The problem is Dave, he’s been here 10/11 months and I’m not convinced at all that he’s a good manager. Granted our attack is shambolic, but he should be able to get a bit of a better tune out of them
I'm not 100% a Lampard fan.

However, make no mistake he steadied the ship last season and did his job to get us safe.

The problems this season came from poor recruitment after Richarlsion was sold. He was weakened even further when Calvert-Lewin got unjured again.

If we had one half decent striker in the last 16 games we'd be about 5/6 points better off and looking a lot better. And that would have acted to improve the midfield too.

The defence he's largely sorted out - until Coady leaves in the summer at least.

Pretty much spot on for me although hope you're wrong about Coady

Never understood the flak Richy got from some blues, he was a cut above the absolute gash that’s was around him and dragged us out of the crap, and it was clear he would be very difficult to replace.

You can’t sell your best player (for less than the market rate then as well) and sign McNeill and maupay as the ones to replaces his goals and workrate.
Scored 0 in 10 prem games and 2 in 15 overall for spuds and is now out again for weeks. Exactly what’s missing

Been rubbish for three seasons, good for 6 months, and last three matches rubbish again and he wants to dictate terms?

Players have too much power.
Players have power because they're valuable. I think you can look at how hard a time we have finding decent ones and understand that pretty easily.

His goal record isn’t that great though, only 59 career total from 135 games across Lithuania, Belgium and France

Less than 1 in 3 though. 32 in 83 for Lorient in Ligue 1, still less than 1 in 3 in a decent league. Plays a lot of games it seems too with very little/to no injury record.

18 months left on deal.

2020–21Ligue 13214213415
2021–22Ligue 137810388
2022–23Ligue 11410001410

2020–Lorient83(32)

Quick youtube, shows a variety of goals, headed, poachers, 1v1s, outside the box. Bit of an all rounder, looks relatively strong.

Can see why a lower-table midtalbe team would be keen.
