The downside is Southampton (who are where we are anyway), the upside is guys like Mitoma & Caicedo from Brighton who are so much better than us.

The reason Brighton have such a good track record in the market is because they know what they’re doing, their scouting and analytics teams are top notch. Therefore these types of signings aren’t really gambles at all, they appear so to us because our club is so stuck in the past that they’ve had us believe that anyone without “Premier League experience” is a gamble. If we get with the times as a fanbase then it’ll open our eyes as to how incompetently this club operates compared to its modern peers.

You tell me who is going to pay £7m for Maupay, which is half of what we bought him for anyway. Then tell me who is going to buy McNeil and for what price.

The McNeil transfer is a classic example of it mate. I'd be willing to put money on the fact that Kenwright would look at someone like him and go straight to the fact that he came through the Man Utd academy and be like "Well he started out at Utd so he can't be rubbish can he"
