It is two completely different play styles, yet looking at weghorst you'd think he'd be A LOT more suited to Burnley's style given he's a big tall grock.

Agree it's hard to judge soemone for 6months with a relagated team, but I'd be furious if we spent our budget on him

I think that was the thinking - Burnley wanted a direct replacement for Wood, which Weghorst is not. He's the shortest 6ft6 player you'll ever see in the air. Burnley fans said he would actually shrink when he tried to contest a header. I think he'll fit in much better at Manure, assuming he gets the service to his feet.

Re us buying him - I'd be happy with any striker right now, but I don't think Weghorst would give us a sniff given our table position. He pissed off to Turkey when Burnley got relegated because he didn't want to play in the Championship. Wood however might be the most realistic shout I've heard so far.

This is true, but if that happens, whoever comes in will need at least a striker to replace Dom when he picks up his next injury. We are so light it's crazy.

We need to look at younger, hungrier players. Thats my only stipulation to be honest. I know we wont do much business so no point worrying too much. Signings should have been made already! Clubs a shambles

How's he proven to be rubbish? When he was a regular starter for Burnley in the Prem he was scoring between 10 and 14 goals a season for four seasons.

I'm at the point of not caring any more...

During the transfer window I would normally log on at least ten times a day, now once a day.

If Lampard goes or stay, if we but a striker or not, if we get relegated or not, honestly the apathy has well and truely set in....

I think it’s because the majority of strikers being mentioned are proper crap strikers who have been mentioned because they play in the PL.

And as fans, of Everton, I would expect most of us on here have limited knowledge of strikers abroad/lower leagues, whereas I would expect the highly paid scouting teams, manager, director of football etc would have better knowledge of strikers abroad and in lower leagues than any of us on here.
