If you’re not admitting Tarkowski was a good signing then there’s no reasoning with you.
He limits what we can tactically do and concedes way too many shots because he refuses to actually mark and prefers to react and block instead. Regardless of those criticisms he's going to need replacing in the next 18 to 30 months and that's the issue. We can't build anything if everything is short term.

January survival, summer progression.

That’s the template.

That was what people kept saying this time last season though. We just kicked the can along the road, and actually regressed rather than progressed in the summer.

Also don’t forget the idea of signing Maupay and McNeil was that they knew the league and wouldn’t need a period of adjustment to settle in

Danjuma left / centre and Elanga right would give us the options along the front three we need. Get those two on loan and invest what we have in a creative midfielder / playmaker type and we’d be much better off.

"Everton are still interested in Anthony Elanga and could do a deal toward the end of the month"

Why the end of the month, why not now?

They're not mate, that's the fundamental in which I think you're wrong.

Look at it objectively. It's not a blip, we're just a poor football team;

I think we all can overcomplicate football but sometimes it can be simple and the players we have don't have the goals or assists in their game. They're just not there - that dictates any manager we have will be up against it fighting relegation.

If I felt this way, I'd agree with you, why sign players not part of a long term plan if we're sound anyway.

We're not though, this Everton team as it is go down. It would have went down last season if it wasn't for Richarlison, and Pickford. Richarlison is off, and if Pickford wants to leave he probably wont be at the very top of his game in any relegation scrap.

Short term measures are needed to a crisis, sometimes you have to plug holes. That time is most certainly now. The basis to build from is as a Premier League team.

Jesus h christ i thought i must have Missed Everton's name there as i kept on scrolling and scrolling and...?

You’ll probably find out sooner rather than later, because I feel his days are numbered. But don’t be surprised when (barring a short new manager bounce) our unproductive players turn out to still be unproductive players.
I firmly believe we can score 1 goal per game. I am not setting the bar very high. But that's probably enough to see us finish 15th.
