January transfer window 2024

Onana to Arsenal then.

Silly Everton thinking you were allowed have nice things.

Wouldn't mind this move happening to be honest. Have no problem selling players for massive profit, I like Onana too but I'm genuinely not even sure he gets in our first choice team if everyone's fit. I'd definitely have Garner and Doucoure ahead of him so he'd be fighting with Gana for the third spot. A move like this not only enables us to go after other much needed signings but also gives us a bit more FFP breathing room.

Get the lad from United in on loan, sell Onana for £70m+, Godfrey for £10m and work on filling the gaps in the team with Dyche type players, we'll be better off.

Arsenal wont be able to spend this January so i wouldnt really worry about that.

They have spent more than almost anyone in terms of net over the last 3 years

Massive risk to sell onana this window for me, just dint think we can get players in this window who can replace him. Would sell him in the summer when can get better value
Think we'd sell him for more in Jan but you know we wouldn't replace him. Terrible decision if we go ahead

Given the outlets breaking these stories they are being briefed by Onana to try and get a move. I doubt we've told him we would accept 60 though.

Think you will find it’s 20% of the profit made
Also as far as I'm aware if he gets sold for £70m, which would take only like £7m, it'd probably add £50m of profit to the balance sheet which is the most important thing, however that works. I think it's a deal that the club would be stupid to turn down, like we apparently did with that Gordon to Chelsea bid last year.

These reported numbers seem very low, especially for opening a negotiating position.

Unless Dyche just doesn’t rate him that highly or this calf injury that keeps comind going is likely to be a persistent problem.

Ehh, what?

Regardless of what you think of the guy, logically the squad is still one midfielder short, selling him means we need two.

Arsenal need a striker more than anything and can't afford that at the moment. This is agent-talk, nothing more.

But do Arsenal know they need a striker more than anything? Feels like they try to solve every problem by buying midfielders.
