18 year old RB Sam Curtis, linked here at various points, signed for Sheffield United yesterday. Compensation payment of circa EUR 125K reported.

Very high potential ceiling, 60 senior appearances, young player of season last year and u21 caps already. Would have been a low risk option.

Sheffield United's loan move for Mason Holgate has fallen through after Everton's demand for a late fee. Defender had travelled for a medical. Remains to be seen if the deal can be resurrected.
The fee requested was apparently 250k. Don’t mind us asking for something to make it worthwhile, what does it say about the player if they refused to pay it?

Depends what the deal was less paying his contract, hopefully we keep him at southampton or we get a similar or better deal.

My guess would be the wage % was the same as Southampton and we just wanted something to make it worth our while. Let’s be honest though the lad makes 70k a week and has done for years, if he wants to switch he could pay it himself.

..…seems like Henrique was very good and is now very bad. A change of scenery might be what he needs.
