All of this is a balancing act. The points deduction/current charge are for our transgressions years ago, since when we've calmed down the spending considerably - so there may be some wiggle room in terms of future accounting.

We also need to factor in the financial ruin that a relegation would leave the club in - so a careful level of spending would actually be financially beneficial in the longer term

They do sponsor themselves on the shirt and sold St Maximin to one of their Saudi clubs. I’m sure they’ll push it more now they are close to PSR.
They've already increased their turnover around 40% year on year since the Saudi's took them over...and they're still a million miles away from Spurs etc.

I'm sure they've got one eye on City's case. As soon as that's swept under the carpet the black and white kopites will be announcing £100m match day cutlery sponsorship deals and the like.

He’s not unsettled though is he. I appreciate an Arsenal move but not a Newcastle move. Doesn’t seem logical.
Yeah I know in the bigger picture Newcastle are in a better position than we are, but on the pitch they are only 2 points better than us this season. I think he'll be keen to move on because he seems an ambitious guy but he'll be looking for Champions League and Newcastle are not even close this season.
