"We can't get Phillips because he's on city wages...but erm...yeah...in fact we pay city level wages anyway so we can realistically get him."

Maybe put your thinking cap on before you post back to back posts that contradict each other.

But I never said we couldn't get him? Please quote where I say that.

£150k a week seems to be a rough estimate based on a few sites, he is also 27 nearly 28 which surprised me a bit. Seems like an expensive deal for us tbh.

Exactly. Thelwell has done a good job in reducing our wage/turrnover % so let's not go back to the dark days again with huge waged, fairly average players. For comparison I believe Garner is on like £30k from the few sites I checked.

If a deal is being looked at i am sure club would be looking for the same to get a good deal for him. Getting gomes out would help, not site how much % we pay from holgates loan but maybe similar with city depends how much the club wants him i guess

And long may the change in approach last. Phillips would be an expensive addition into an area where we have decent prospects and the possibility of partnerships developing; i.e. Onana and Garner. I'd rather we focus on improving the quality of our full backs and another striker.
