I'd be going all out with any money in the coffers to sign Jobe Bellingham, the lad is class and needs the opportunity in the top flight ASAP as someone will snap him up and he has immense sell on value too, his potential is huge and is shadowed by his brother's limelight.
Never seen him kick a ball is he a midfielder?

We've come full circle.
Sorry, I'm missing the link here. Are you assuming that if we loan him we would need to pay 100% of his astronomical wages until the end of the season and it would therefore be a bad investment? What about if they agree to pay 50% of his wages? Is that beyond the realms of possibility?

What use is Kalvin Phillips on a 6-month loan? If he performs well, we'd all want to keep him, and then:

Phillips is on City wages now

Why would we ever want to go backwards in our recent squad planning parameters.

Really depends on our situation. If he helps keep us up then it might be worth it even if it is very short term. Donovan came in on a very short term basis and did a great job for us. Most other clubs also won't want to pay City wages so they may be willing to cover some of them just to get him off their books. Players do move on from City.

You're gonna have to find my City players on £150k+ contracts that have been moved on for lower (that aren't like in their 30's and finished).

You're an Everton fan, I believe, have we found it easy shifting on £100k+ players?

When they sell him he's going to go for another big contract and why wouldn't he.

If you love Everton you will not want massive waged players who don't even start for us anywhere near the club.

So what happens to him? He just runs down his contact at City?

Phillips is on 30k per week more than Doucoure, and Mina when he was at Everton. He's on much less than the combined cost of no marks like Godfrey, Gomes, Keane and Holgate.

I'd have him at Everton. I think he's a quality player that would improve our first team. I also think you need to have a good mix of potential and experience in the squad. We'll go nowhere if we do nothing but develop potential so that a player is sold as soon as they reach it.

Having said that, I don't see him coming to Everton. He will probably go to a more stable and attractive option like Newcastle.

Is my memory right.......is he not a bit injury prone.

I always liked him.

In fact i think we were in for him in at one stage when Leeds were in the Championship - might have been under Brands.

….I’m wary of players like Phillips who make big money moves to Man City and fail to make an impression. i’d be concerned about whether playing still matters to him and I wouldn’t be signing him on big bucks to find out.

Show me your Maths!
