If a deal is being looked at i am sure club would be looking for the same to get a good deal for him. Getting gomes out would help, not site how much % we pay from holgates loan but maybe similar with city depends how much the club wants him i guess

Investing in someone like Wharton may be more sensible, looks a good one. To be honest i think we've been looking at central midfield for a while anticipating this summer, i think we will have a list of target quick to hand.

Not for me, the likes of Neil at Sunderland are better prospects or that kid at Boro. Wharton just doesn't do enough, drifts in and out of games. I'm just not convinced by him.

Yeah mate....looked good to me when i sat down to watch him mate, bit of balance about him. Haven't seen the other two tbh - will give them a look.

We're ok for 8s if we keep Garner, Onana and the Duke. We could do with another 6 and id like an alternate playmaking 10.

It's possible to disagree with people and be civil about it though. People are far more likely to respect/listen to an opinion given with warmth and humour. Calling people out just makes everyone defensive and fearfully of proposing an alternative/new/controversial view point for fear of ridicule which stifles debate and can lead to group think. Keep your snark for the people who deserve it (occasionally me ).

Exactly what I am talking about, someone has a different view than you on one topic so you right them off completely on all topics. That's a very sad approach to life. Your immediate response to people saying we should get Philips on loan was to tell people to use their brains which is completely unnecessary. Davek wasn't involved at that point. You could have just said it's unlikely because of x, y or z which would have added far more to the debate but you keep on being you if it makes you happy.
