The Japanese have the best warning systems in the world for all this so hopefully they had enough time to get them out. You'd imagine there were some folks that simply couldn't be moved though

Watched that clip on Sky News earlier. Reports say that 10,000 people are unaccounted for in that town. That's a football crowd of people. Hope they all got out to safety in time

One things for sure, you're seeing an industrialised nation like Japan tested to the absolute limit with this disaster.

Between the earth quake and aftershocks, tsunami and nuclear incidents...


one good thing is it will allow all countries to learn lessons about emergency/crisis/disaster management.


The nuclear incident itself. Its testing the scientific communities assumptions and designs about nuclear containment too.
