You never know when you might get a ligament injury and you've missed your big chance. If we get a stupid offer we'll have to take it and it's best for both parties. What we should already be doing is identifying a £15 million replacement.
Even if we sell him, he will never be replaced, just like the richarlison situation. We will probably have MIchael Keane starting and Dyche will be happier than ever

Yes agree on the injury risk. Thats the only thing playing on my mind when i say "keep him".

If we did sell then I think we need to look at what we need -- not only to replace him but also strengthen in other areas too.

Of course players who also generate more profit in a couple of years so if we got e.g £100mil the replacements generate another £100mil+

We need 7 new players for the squad minimum.

So either take a major gamble on lots of players (like Spurs did and failed with Bale) or 3 or 4 replacements of high ability and potential.

I see Ballard at Sunderland has been linked.

He's be wise to look at how peps meddling has affected Gvardiol, Stones is very unique in being able to pull off that hybrid position and it wont suit most young CB's.
Stones and Branthwaite would work very well together. However, Stones is a bit injury prone these days

They wouldn't get played together at CB at city, Stones will perform the hybrid role (which he does brilliantly) and Pep might try to do with Branthwaite what is he is trying to do with Gvariol who I don't think has played a single game at CB.

If the summer market takes a downturn based on FFP it could be the worst time ever to sell a top prospect, given our run of luck it most likely will be.

Carlo wants him at Madrid though, so we'd get top dollar from them
