That's great for us tbh. £40m for a 27 year old English centre back that's never represented his country at any level. That's a very good argument to value Branthwaite - already far superior - at double that or more, especially given his importance to us.
Exactly, he's nowhere near the player JB is right now let alone will be in 5 years time. Honestly this shows our 70m asking price is if anything an under-valuation.

Just been watching the news on BBC1. They were reporting from Jamaica about the effects of Hurricane Beryl, and one of the guys they interviewed was named Everton Brathwaite…….great name! …..I wonder if he changed it by deed poll?…...Surname not quite the same, but I bet he’s a blue.
