Brands was a decent DoF when allowed to do his job.

Branthwaite is a Rolls Royce of a player - the year in Holland has helped him, but I thought he was ready for our team last season from what I had seen. How he never started in the team this season is a travesty tbh, and a black mark against Dyche.

He will make mistakes going forward, he’s young and I will forgive them.

I would love us to be able to build for the future with him but the big spenders will be coming very soon I fear, as he’s going to the top in my opinion (hope that’s with us!) - we just need to ensure we get the best deal possible whenever it happens.
Branthwaite opted to play with the U21’s which meant he was weeks late joining up with the squad. Needed time to integrate

He looks a lot more than just comfortable on the ball to me , he needs confidence which will come. Some if his distribution looks fantastic.

If anything he's a better defender than stones i don't think it's a stretch at all. Both at this stage of their development, very similar . Branthwaite actually played champs league too
When the headers start coming like Lescott, they'll be queuing up twice around BMD to entice him...

I think he’s learned a lot since the Ivan Toney incident and the loan spell at psv. I think it’s premature at this stage to think he could be the next nesta or baresi because no doubt when he is deemed to be at fault for a goal that we concede the vultures will pounce and compare him to Holgate and Godfrey.

Lad looks good though, hopefully another John stones in the making

Yeah, I thought he looked great at that spell he had playing before he picked up that injury. He never got his place back which I always found strange. The great news is for us if he carries on then he will be great for us, and the going rate for these centre backs now days are 80/90m.

He’s going to be very in demand next year if he keeps on his current trajectory.

Big Stones comparison is his class is obvious even though he’ll still make mistakes.

Only proper dafties thought Stones was suddenly [Poor language removed] when he went off form for a bit with us.
