Just watched the Talkshite clip with Matterface and Pardew talking about who go's and who gets dropped.

Sixteen minutes and Branthwaite was only mentioned to say he gets left behind.

A RS reserve who does well in one cup game gets smoke blown up his arse 🤔

If the lad at Liverpool was Everton and had played half a season. There’s not a chance he would be anywhere near the squad

Villa (Konza) conceded 28 goals in last 12 games including a sloppy penalty conceded against Brighton in last minute losing the game.

Brighton (Dunk) conceded 16 goals in last 8 games. Dunk personally Owned twice by Lukaku in two separate games during the season. Just the type of striker England will face should they progress.

Everton (Branthwaite/Tarkowski/Pickford) conceded 10 goals in last 9 games including 3 goals in final 6 games...

Does Southgate actually watch any football

I honestly believe that the issue with Branthwaite is how much better he is than Maguire.

Southgate was a good centre-back himself. He knows what he's seeing in training.

Actually that's an excellent point. I.e., if he plays Branthwaite in a friendly chances are he will light it up and as a left footed, 6'5, quick centre back who is comfortable on the ball, the media will bang the drum for him to start over his beloved Maguire...

There are two outcomes that wouldn't be too horrible.
1 - he doesn't play in the Euros. There's no further hype around him, and he starts next season with us still (assuming we sell others instead to balance the books)
2 - he plays, and lights up the tournament. We are able to get silly money for him.

What's more likely...
3 - he gets a few minutes, enough to remind people just how good he will become. We don't sell anyone else, and see him go for only £40m.
