2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

Declan Rice says LOL.

Lescott, Coleman, Baines all laugh in your general direction.

He put Lescott at LB and he ended up a better CB; Coleman and Baines weren't adapted into any new position - they were just made to wait or were loaned out to get more experience in that position. No coaching.

Our last manager made every player he touched worse.

Moyes gets players to perform to their level.

I suggest you go watch that 2009 team he built, almost perfection.

I sadly think that Branthwaite’s England prospects will only improve if he moves to a “bigger” club and that will probably play a part in him eventually leaving

Say what you want about Southgate, but which club you played for seemingly meant less to him than any other England manager in recent memory

If you performed for him then you were in, hence why he stuck with Pickford despite intense media and fan pressures

Sadly with Tuchel it seems to be back to business as usual, with a “big club” bias when it comes to selection, hence why Branthwaite is ludicrously sitting this international break out whilst the remains of Jordan Henderson was selected

They collapsed like a pack of cards in the cup final after taking the lead in the first minute.

They were a strong team but they needed a coach to get them across the line.

Martinez was the difference when a team like Wigan beat the most expensively assembled team ever in the cup final.

Ross Barkley, Shane Duffy and John Stones however rub their respective chins and ponder his point…
Your kidding right?

Ross Barkley is STILL playing PL football, so is John Stones, no idea where that donkey Duffy is, but I know he played at the highest level also.

Bad take Mikey.

That team also lost its 3 best players before the Final.

My point was that Moyes had an iffy record with both developing younger players and bringing them through

Barkley in particular was ready in 2012/13 but Moyes would just not give him a proper run in the team when it was beyond time

Even this season now we’re again seeing Moyes reticent to give some of the younger players a sustained chance outside of O’Brien

Chermiti, Tim and Alcaraz have been in and out, Dixon and Sherif haven’t even had a sniff, Armstrong shoved out on loan etc

He is picking Branthwaite regularly at least

I think City essentially sacking their manager on the day of the final was a bigger factor than Bobby Mart’s tactical and motivational capabilities in all honesty…

Chermo and Tim are just back from long term injuries. You would drop JOB for Dixon? Interesting.

Armstrong would have sat on our bench, instead he's put getting games.

I don't think it's fair to suggest Moyes doesn't play youth. If they are good enough they play plenty.

But this isn't Moyes centric, for years you have begged managers to play youth, majority of which play in League Two.

If young players are good enough they break through.

Everton had the spine of the team ripped out before the final Dave, Lescott, Arteta and Yakubu didn't play, probably our three best players, if they had played we would have won I'm pretty sure of that.
