Theyre valuing him at £70mil apparently, if he's a 10 then it points to the £12.6mil option for Alcaraz being an incredible deal by Thelwell.

The spine of the team is critical and we need to get Branthwaite on a long term deal...meanwhile Moyes is saying he wants young English players and "more Branthwaites" so it will be a major shock if he was sold.

With the money behind us now and the new stadium really 'needing' top players to maximise the revenue...there may be some big positive surprises in the summer.

Comment on the BBC website re ManUre & Branthwaite was to the effect that it would happen conditional on ManUre getting into the Champions League next season! As much chance of that happening as us getting a CL place...

Branthwaite is playing and is wanted here so it’s totally different. Besides England have a numpty manager who is overrated and picks has beens and bench warmers.
Branthwaite should stay and we need to build a team around him.

Isn't it CJ at Burnley? Even so it's ridiculous. Although england do like having a shorter CB in. Guehi, Konza are favoured alongside a bigger lad.
