I believe the County Road Bobblers done a podcast last month with Dave Prentice and brought up the point of why the club have been so silent on Gbamin, No interviews, videos, images or anything near enough. Apparently the club went to Gbamin and he said how he didn't want to do anything and would prefer to stay quiet. Each to their own like if it is true. Really hope it works out for Gbamin. The guy has had such poor luck
Being out for this long has got to be so hard on the guy’s mental health, too. I can totally understand wanting to try and get back on track privately.

The last thing you’d need is the continuing weight of expectation that you’re going to be a midfield saviour for Everton ‘any game now’ for the last 2 years.

It'd be great if he could just get in some matchday squads, get a few sub appearances and feel like an actual footballer again before the end of the season, then have a pre-season and see where he is in August.
to get him on the bench at least would be good, especially if some crowds are back for the last game or two, he'd get a great Goodison welcome if he hobbled up the line to warm up, that would give him a massive boost going into the close season. Great to see CA not seeming concerned about the long term.

May 15th - The Comeback Complete

Jean-Philippe Gbamin entered the latest phase of his rehabilitation from an Achilles injury while the midfielder's Everton's teammates prepared for Saturday's FA Cup tie with Manchester City.

Ivorian Gbamin is starting to work on the grass at USM Finch Farm, introducing running and ball work into an individual recovery process which began soon after the 25-year-old sustained his injury back in May.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti last week confirmed he was optimistic over Gbamin's chances of returning to action this term – but conceded Everton would tread carefully with the player in order to safeguard his long-term fitness.

The remainder of Ancelotti's squad, meanwhile, are getting ready to face runaway Premier League leaders City at Goodison Park this weekend with a Cup semi-final place at stake.
