I'd class James amongst the forwards and Gbamin would be my 6th or 7th choice at start of the season. I think we can get away with buying just one however if we get Gomes moved on we would need a 2nd.
Oh definitely. Just saying I don't think we should have the idea that they are going to be key players (weird wording but can't think of an alternative for James) until they prove they can stay fit for both of them.

Delph can sod off as far as I care.

Until its proven otherwise we should take him as nothing more than a bonus. We still need 2 midfielders as nobody has any idea if he would be reliably fit. Same thing with James sadly. Assume he's going to be out about half the matches he's in so we need to get someone in and have James be the bonus if healthy.
Especially since Delph and Gomes need replacing

Thankfully his back training and lets give him opportunity to show us what he can give to team before his thrown under the bus by the "experts" here who know nothing about him and how bad the injuries he got might have affected him.

I think at the end of this season the option is with Everton whether we sign James for another season or not, I think we would save a lot on wages if we let him go, if the rest of this season is anything like he has performed up to now, good in short spells when he plays, then gets little niggling injuries that keep him out for weeks, mind you he’ll play more in April and May when there is more chance of sunshine.

2 year contract with option for 3rd. I don't see James going anywhere and that's great but he can't be relied upon to play with any semblance of regularity. We need to plan without him since that will probably occur more often than him being available.

And Gblammo needs easing in but that also presents a bit of risk as well. Coddling seems that it could create it's own issues.
