Delph not being fit doesn't surprise in the slightest for a multitude of reasons. Let's be honest, he's not missed so it isn't a big deal either.Amazing that he’s back fit yet Delph still isn’t.
Imagine a time we can put a fully fit Allan, Docuoure Gbamin and James in the same midfield for a long sequence of games. That’s what it must feel like to support a club that isn’t crippled with injuries every single season.
If he can get back to the level he was when we signed him,
And obviously adapt to the pace of the league he could be a monster...
Problem is we don't really have any real idea of what level that was.If he can get back to the level he was when we signed him,
And obviously adapt to the pace of the league he could be a monster...
In fairness he was only 22 when we signed him and he already had 11 caps for Ivory Coast at that stage. Plus he was a regular in the French U21 team before that, which is no mean feat for a central midfielder where they have been very strong for years. What level was he at when we signed him?
Mid table in Das SPL and a YouTube montage of him miscontroling the ball and vaguely running around.
I want the guy to succeed but he was a mystery package of potential when we signed him, I'm not pinning any hopes to him really.

He may not have been an established star when we bought him, but he was a player with good pedigree whose stock was rising. I'm not sure what to expect either, but that's more down to his injuries than his actual ability.
This. How on earth there can be even a jot of negativity towards the lad is completely beyond me. Anyone not 100% behind him from the start needs to question their own humanity let alone their claim to be a supporter of this great football club. He will need a bit of time and extra encouragement if he is to succeed - we as fans have a role to play in that. Then if he has the quality, it will shine through. Let's at least play our part and then over to him for the rest....Cannot understand the negativity towards one of our own who has been unfortunate enough to get injured so badly and who has stuck at his rehabilitation to get himself into a position to play again. I believe the lad deserves every credit for what he has done quietly and without any fuss.
I have absolutely no idea if he can make a comeback and be a force in the game, I have absolutely no idea if he will be able to stand up to the rigours of the Premier League but I am hoping for the best for the lad and wish him every success.

He's skinned Sigurdsson there
If you can’t be made up for him being back you’re not human.
The mental health struggles he would have gone through to return would have been awful.
I can’t wait for him to return and hopefully he’s what we thought we was getting when we signed it would allow us to free up Allan to do what he’s good at
