I don't need much time to size up if someone is good enough or has the potential. This fella doesn't in my view - and he is blocking a spot in the squad. How much time is enough? I could see from his first games he wasn't good enough and I think he knew it too.

plenty of good players take time to settle(game time)
He may never get back on track after 2 years out but to say he's had enough time is harsh to say the least

Maybe he just doesn't fancy the intensity of this league and training in this league, it is deffo weird to go from hardly having a bad injury to having 2.5 hears of non stop injuries

I think the delay in getting him in for surgery done most of the damage, he would have been back by the end of his first season with a sensible medical team

And that's what he was signed for wasn't he? So he's been training for a couple of months now injury free so give him a game in a midfield 3 and see how he gets on.

Totally agree he's been out for eighteen months he needs rhythm dropping him in and out with very short sub appearances won't give him that. The odd start and twenty to thirty mins here and there is more likely. Benny is SO stubborn though.

Another player destined for endless loans until their contract runs out then. Gbamin just had no luck here, those injuries he had would finish most and we'll never know whether he could have ever reached any sort of decent level.

One weird thing about it all to me is not having him play a load of games for the under 23s to get back up to speed, makes me think both parties might have known he was finished much earlier.

Getting money via loans might be the only way we recoup anything til his contract expires as well as getting someone to pay his wages.

Never know , he could do well somewhere and the daft mugs buy him.
