2021/22 Jean-Philippe Gbamin

I think this is a mad decision by everyone, the club should not be letting him go, we hardly have enough cover in that position and I think it’s crazy that he wants to go and play in Russia, given the political situation.

We are so quick to label players the worst to ever play for us ?

A lad that played 1 game before being seriously injured for 2 seasons isn't really worst player material. Any player missing 2 years will struggle to get back up to speed.

It's a massive shame he got injured, he sounded like a perfect squad player for us but worst? You can't watch the peado not wanting the ball, Keane ball watching or falling over or gomes ghosting around the pitch and still make that comparison.

As much as I hate iceman, he's just not the worst player, or Keane or even Gomes.

Gbamin wasn't very good before he got injured, kind of like cenk tosun is now.

Also I never said he 'stole' a living like so many people are quick to do, it is Everton's fault entirely for buying a player that isn't good enough and hoping he'll fulfill his 'potential'. Let's not forget we probably screwed up his career just as much as his injuries did. I don't think we should have bought him to begin with.

Firstly its Russia not Donetsk. Secondly if he wants to go, he's a grown man and can decide for himself.

I mean he played like 1 game for us , after switching from the German league to the English one. I'm not sure what you expected to see in that first game, or after losing so much of his career to injuries.

Just a wierd stance to have on a player based on one game. Tosun has had plenty of games to show he isn't good enough. Delph has had games to tell us how good of a player he could have been for us. Gbamin literally had 1 game , it's fair to say you are basing this on one game.

I don’t really like the way our social media is ran. The tweet doesn’t even say a ‘good luck’ or anything with it which literally every other club in the world does to even their players. Maybe I’m just getting soft but feel like we show poor form too often on the big platforms.
I agree, it's not like he's leaving acrimoniously, it simply didn't work out here and he's going somewhere else for a bit. Hopefully it works out for him. It's not like Carlo or Barkley leaving and screwing us.

Yeh like I say, maybe I'm soft but I just don't like it. There was something else earlier in the season they tweeted which was poor too but can't for the life of me remember.

Edit: Found it, was this, no thank you, no nothing:

That one I put down to the pettiness of Benitez. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't want to put in anything there because of his feelings towards Digne.

Still can't believe we sold him then sacked the FSW 3 days later.
