Where's he been playing at CSKA out of interest? CM? DM? CB?

EDIT: Got my answer, CM. Playing in a two by the looks of it. Also, I've just watched the highlights of their game with Rubin Kazan and their officiating is even more inconsistent than ours lol VAR didn't even look at their first two goals (including Gbamin's) which surely would've been ruled out in England. Also Rubin Kazan's sending off very was soft.

I don't hate the lad, but oh my word he doesn't belong anywhere near PL. We'll never know what he could have been like before the injuries but in 2022 he's barely a footballer, hence why he is where he is now.
 
He’s playing in a Russian league. Will be the equivalent or championship/league one. Mykolenko came from Ukraine premier league, look at how well he’s been for us. Gbamin is over there in a Micky mouse league. Jesus Christ. Give your heads a wobble. Bloke is no where near premier league standard lad, and he won’t ever be. End of.

Who's saying he should be here now? People are just happy the lad is back playing regular football.

Yes, because Everton put their faith in a potential Russian income stream.. No doubt another masterstroke from the people that gave us Walsh, internal sackings of medical staff (with a ward full of permanently injured players needing attention), several questionable managerial appointments, dubious sponsorship arrangements, unnecessary trips to Kenya, Tanzania and Thailand and so on.

It was a long running joke at the time. Maybe it all stemmed from that article, but it was one of those urban myths where people used to regularly say he'd been Russian player of the year, and yet there was no official evidence anywhere that it had ever happened. I might be wrong but I have a vague recollection of it turning out that he'd been listed as 'one of the players of the season' in a magazine or something and it somehow getting mangled into him being the winner of some prestigious award.

On topic, i'm genuinely pleased to see Gbamin back playing after everything he's been through. Who knows, maybe he can still have a future here if he comes through this period unscathed.
