Surely he is in beach of contract , and therefore should be dismissed, and thereafter sued over the breach , by the club ?.
I would be interested to know , who did the scouting of this guy before we massively over paid on the fee , and the salary for somebody who has achieved virtually nothing for the club ?.
To be fair, he was highly rated when he came. That first big injury was unfortunate and then he was rushed back before he was ready and it went again.

However at this point, if he is refusing to come back (which we don’t actually know what the situation is), we just need to get rid of him however we can.

….I presume whatever is happening has been agreed by Club and player.

in respect of the signing; he picked up a serious quad muscle injury shortly AFTER he signed and was sidelined for 18 months. It’s a moot point as to how good he would’ve been if that hadn’t happened.

Tbf to the lad he was very highly rated as a young talent, Liverpool were heavily linked with him the season before we signed him.

He'd had a very long season. He'd played all but 3 of mainz games that season racking up maximum minutes in most of the games. He then went on to play in the afcon. Then silva decided to play him when he wasn't match fit in the toughest league in the world, when the lad was knacked.

He did his hamstring in training, then the club decided he didn't need a operation, then it turned out when he was due to come back "oh, wait he does need a operation", then the meffs we got to do the operation didnt clean the wound properly and it got infected so he had to have another operation, then we rushed him back from that and he did his achilles tendon.

Which kept him out for a year and by then he was injury prone. if reports are to be believed he had became a bit of a party animal as well which wouldn't help.

No wonder he's angry at the club. The people in charge of his wellbeing essentially ruined the career of a highly rated talent.

He missed more games in his first season at everton then he'd missed in his entire career beforehand combined.

Don’t really get why Silva is blamed for playing a footballer tbh. If he’d played so many games then why wasn’t he match fit?

Looks to me like he played 33 games for Mainz the season before we signed him. In comparison Rodri played 56 last season. The lad just got injured, it happens.

The lad had to step up into the toughest league in the world and hed been flogged the season before with sod all time to let his body recover.

And I'm sorry but you can't compare rodri. Hes a fantastic player but the lad isn't the most mobile is he.

The club massively miss handled him and his recovery.

….I remember him coming in and saying he wasn’t match ready. He was then played in a couple of games and incurred an injury that can happen with muscle fatigue. I don’t think he was managed very well.

Do other clubs sign players for £30 million who are then our for the next 5 years offering nothing?

It does feel like we are jinked sometimes but then my perspective is heavily biased.
Yes, United paid 80m for Jadon Sancho, 80m for Antony, Real paid 100m for Hazard, 150m for Countinho.

We arent the only club in the world that wastes money.
