I was talking to a few mates yesterday about him moving, and quite a few said that he would crash and burn Everton, and that he's too lazy. I don't think this will happen. We've seen him at his best, and he is more than capable of playing for a Prem club of Everton's calibre. His laziness, I reckon, stems from the fact that he couldn't always be arsed playing in League One and wanted something more. Plus Grayson isn't half the manager Moyes is and I think Moyes could turn him into the great player he has potential to be.

The problem with him at Leeds was his inconsistency but 31 goals. Not even some of the best strikers in the Prem have achieved that this season.

Agreed! With the fact that he'll be playing under david moyes will do him the world of good. He has this opportunity to make the jump from league one to premiership that not many players get so he has to take it with both hands and his pace upfront would give him some edge over the yak and saha.

I will not have anyone named Jermaine at our club. And Ive seen him out (cant say anymore than that, contract) but trust me hes a ****

Why do you want him? Even Leeds fans think he's [Poor language removed]. And on top of that he's trouble.

Mainly cos he is no risk. Costs no money and if he is poor and is trouble, we can easy get £3m off a team like newcastle for him...or he could be ace!

The Leeds fan who is on here seems to like him and the way he handled that Gradel chap yesterday shows some maturity so he has promise.

You seem to have a personal problem with him though.

He's not crap, just inconsistent. However, knocking Man United out of the FA Cup and scoring the winner yesterday which saw us go up, 2 out of 31 goals just shows that on his day he is class.

He is prone to tantrums but Moyes comes across as a no nonsense type of guy and I have faith in him to get Beckford in line if he does go off on one.

As for Gradel. I'm surprised Beckford didn't smash that weapon's face in. I don't advocate violence but he was being a complete belter.

As I understand it we have a pre-contract agreement for Beckford, he is on a free so whats the worst that can happen? I trust moyes with players from the lower leagues, he knows his stuff.

I know people go on about the fact that Beckford has been quiet in the second half of the season, but I think that was not just Beckford, the whole Leeds team went off the boil and were distracted by their "success" in the cup competitions.

Personally I think Beckford did well against premierleague opposition and is worth a go

Its nothing personal, its just that I see a lot of footballers out and about because of my job and you can always tell the arrogant tossers from the ones who havent let it go to there heads. The guys just a chav. Dont like him one bit.

Not questioning your judgement, but if he manages to score between 15-20 goals a season for us, I can forgive him for being a **** off the pitch. Also, I honestly believe that with the team spirit we have here, the rest of the squad will sort him out, if he steps out of line.
