Take it from a Leeds supporter - He is good!

30 goals in a season, admittedly he did have a dip in form but not everyone has been able to score a winner at Old Trafford this season. We haven't seen that from Liverpool, Spurs, Man City, Arsenal or indeed Everton, all clubs who are miles superior to Leeds in terms of ability at the moment.

Maybe not a world class player (well, not yet anyway!) but he is good for a Premier League team the size of Everton.
 
He's free, so give him a try and see. If he is Jason Scotland v2.0 we can probably sell him to Palace or some such for a profit.

i heavily doubt that he will offer us more than what we currently have though.
 

seriously, I have always felt Beckford had the quality to make it as a good premier league goalscorer, this could turn out to be a very good signing.
 
I've just had a notion.

Leeds has had a history of attracting quite a few Australian players. Kewell, Viduka, Okon, Burns, Kisnorbo, Kilkenny, the list goes on.

So how about you get Beckford and in return we get Cahill. Deal?:P(y)

I like him, I don't know if he'll work out or not but there's not much of a downside to signing him. I don't get to see Leeds that much but I was impressed by him today. Seemed like he had a pretty decent touch. I also thought he really seemed to care a lot about getting Leeds promoted which is something. Its not asking much for a player to care, but there are players that in his position (moving on and up regardless of what Leeds did) might not have really cared one way or another.
