I have a fond dislike for them both, along with our midfield, full backs and striking options. Along with our bench and some of our backroom staff, I hate nearly every single thing about Everton.

Except Tarkowski and Branthwaite who I like along with Pickford.

But when someone says they're at the same level as Mcneil or Harrison, my instant reaction will be "they're crap then".

I know what you mean but Harrison and McNeil are about average level premier league players nobody who comes here is going to be loads better than that.

He only played 396 minutes in the league for Napoli.

….pace is great if it comes with quality. I do think there’s an opportunity to introduce more pace in FB positions, particularly RB.

Having one pacey fullback will be pretty easy to negate for the opposition.

Having pace throughout the team automatically makes the opposition think twice about committing

I think that's what we are 'trying' to aim towards this season mate, initially the focus was i feel getting in workhorses who could keep us up.

The guys we are bringing in for me so far have a bit of both

Whatever happens, it looks like Thelwell and Dyche have the right players in mind!

Just, not that top 6 level, but a solid mid-table PL player with some really useful attributes, and he's a good age with plenty of top-level experience under his belt.

What he does have, which those two don't, is a really decent turn of pace.
