Noticed yesterday that Palace 'congested' the active parts of the pitch a lot yesterday which is why the game played a bit scrappy at times. They like to get multiple bodies in and around the ball at all times & Lindstrom seemed to struggle with that - stifled his movement. For someone who thrives on off the ball movement, he was dropped in at the deep end with the opposition having 3 CBs. Deserves a chance when the channels are relatively free.
I see we are back to writing players off again after they’ve barely kicked a ball for us. Great.
Sooner see the back of the manager than this lad, think he would prosper under a more progressive style of play.
He took a bad knock in the first half on his ankle then seemed to just just fall away from the game.
Not in this forum mate.Remember how poor McNeil was when we first signed him.... Give this lad time too.
Was that when the Palace player went right through him from the back and the ref just let it go ?
1 mid game from a young player and he's already the worst thing to happen to us this season, fair enough, we truly deserve Dyche's "run around a lot doing nothing" dogma. He lost the ball, turned his back and gave up.
Hopefully will now have been told in no uncertain terms that is unacceptable.
If it happens again I don't ever want him in an Everton shirt again.
Having a bad game, being bullied by fullback, not getting service etc... I don't really care. You keep trying and you put in the work. If you're not interested in doing that then see you later.
McNeil was criticised for having a poor run of form, which he did, and for being slow, which he is. A blammo doesn't change either of those things, but he has turned his form around, credit to him, so he's not receiving the same criticism. Not in this forum mate.
McNeil will be roundly criticised again in a week or so.
Or maybe people expect a player who is having a bad game to at least show a bit of fight and bottle rather than spitting the dummy out and giving up?1 mid game from a young player and he's already the worst thing to happen to us this season, fair enough, we truly deserve Dyche's "run around a lot doing nothing" dogma.
