2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

You're right, he should've just gotten on with it and ran around a lot doing nothing, like Doucoure, McNeil and Harrison do in 99% of the games.

You deserve to watch Dycheball, my friend.

Neanderthal mate nothing more nothing less, seems to delight ripping into a new player, whose hardly started a game. Everyone recognises he could have scored a couple of goals recently but missed. But most admit he actually played okay in them games, there were good points as well as bad. Not @MJA who seems to have his own agenda. Lindstrom was poor yesterday, got a terrible tackle from behind, which went unpunished and yes he was rightly subbed, but that is no reason to gloat over it like the said poster is doing.

McNeil not a very good player? That’s utter nonsense. He’s created the most chances of any premier league player so far this season, he works his balls off and scores worldies. He’s not prime David Silva but he’s a very good footballer.
Dyche likes him, makes him exempt from any form of praise in some folks eyes.

A reflection point here is i think is if Lindstrom had taken the ball out of the air and sent in the cross for McNeill's second like Harrison yesterday - everyone one would be purring about Lindstrom.

Objectively Harrison has earned his shirt next week over Lindstrom on his performance yesterday - he really impacted the game, its how it should be.
Colours have been nailed to various masts, clearly the thought of even being temporarily wrong is too unbearable and mental gymnastics are preferable.

I'd say we are one more Lindstrom fluffed chance away from hearing the phrase 'unseen work'.

He didn't track back once and they had a plan to deal with him and rough him up instantly, which frustrated him. "Spitting the dummy and giving up"
To be honest mate, he absolutely gave up. We were shocking all over the pitch in the first half, but he was a major part of that.

Young was having a go at him because he wasn't giving him an option when we were trying to attack. When defending, young was left exposed.

Pickford kicked off at him for exactly the same reason. Think we had a chance to catch the. I. The break, but Lindstrom just stood on the edge of our own box about a yard from Pickford.

When he got "injured", he basically gave up. He was clearly physically ok, because when we attacked, he was running just fine. As soon as we lost the ball, he started limping around the pitch. I actually think dyche should've hooked him before half time, but lindstrøm did himself no favours.

The mentality of the team changed in the second half, but that's partly because Harrison gave us a bit more fight and allowed those around him (young had a good game thanks to him) to play a bit more.

Do me a favour and dont tag me into any more of your posts to try and get a reaction. Its embarrassing.

He's involving you in the discussion, mate. The alternative is talking about you behind your back - which is a bit weasely.
No hes trying to get a reaction. Read the rest of the thread and you will see what i mean. I have no interest in anything the guy has to say so dont need tagging in. If the other option is talking behind my back then so be it.

1 mid game from a young player and he's already the worst thing to happen to us this season, fair enough, we truly deserve Dyche's "run around a lot doing nothing" dogma.

Nope, just basic standards.

I'm willing to give him a chance but if it's repeated he'll lose my support. This isn't tactics or technique that needs time to bed, it's just behaviour and attitude.

I have nothing against him, I was positive until yesterday but I saw things I didn't like and there's nothing wrong with calling them out.

He's not young. He's the same age as the guy who scored 2 goals yesterday.

It's not "run around a lot and do nothing," that's complete disingenuous. Very clearly he needed to help Young defend, and when he lost the ball have the awareness to chase it back instead of pouting.

I was over the top yesterday but when he was subbed off we had 1 point for the season and were losing 0-1 to CP, and he pouted and quit on the team. It's exactly what we don't need.
