2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

We'll learn a lot about what he has about him from his response to yesterday and his inevitable dropping next weekend - I thought for all his own flaws Harrison showed the right response to being dropped delivering a very good second half.

Llindstrom is clearly a good footballer but he needs to toughen up physically and mentally, and he's at the right club with the right manager to do that BUT it needs to come from within him too.

No hes trying to get a reaction. Read the rest of the thread and you will see what i mean. I have no interest in anything the guy has to say so dont need tagging in. If the other option is talking behind my back then so be it.

Not going to talk behind you're back, just think what you said was out of order and trust me it is NOT to get a reaction or a laugh. As from today I'm putting you on ignore.

Lindstrom had a poor day. Harrison has had many in fact most poor days. Unfortunately such a stupid manager will now play Hartison and Doucoure every week because they had their ‘once a season’ good performance….

So a smart manager would play lindstrom next game after that? Some of you really are lost to your hatred

A smart manager would not judge a player on one performance. You dont pick a played based on one example. Depends on the opposition etc Its not black and white.

McNeil not a very good player? That’s utter nonsense. He’s created the most chances of any premier league player so far this season, he works his balls off and scores worldies. He’s not prime David Silva but he’s a very good footballer.

Given he's only on about 30 grand a weak I'm sure that we'll be fighting teams off who are after him then.

Remove his set pieces as he pretty much takes every one for us , how many chances does he create from open play mate?

He also messes up badly at times, he's as slow a player as I've ever seen in this league, and he's so I e footed it's painful to watch at times

I did love his fifty yard dribble the other week though were he best 4 men, shame it was from the edge of their box to the edge of our own mind, maybe he got confused which way we were playing....

He played for a good awful Burnley side and is now playing for a pretty dure Everton side, that's the lads level, it's why he's never even had a sniff if interest from any decent dude or got near an international call up.

When you produce a performance akin to George Weah's fake cousin you aren't playing next week without injuries to others. This desperation to remove all responsibilty from Lindstrom and attack the manager is really weird. There are plenty of legitimate critiques that could be made of the gaffer. Pre-emptively attacking him for selecting players that have contributed to us earning vital points is a very very odd one.

I think Lindstrom is the kind of player who doesn't really instill fear into the opposition. He's a bit lightweight and profligate from what I've seen so far. I wouldn't say that it's game up for him yet, however there is a lot of work needed from him.

Dyche likes him, makes him exempt from any form of praise in some folks eyes.

I praise him when it's due, he scored two absolute belters yesterday, but that doesn't erase the memory of countless games I've seen him in were he killed countless moves by going backwards cos he can't use one of his feet at all, or that regardless of how bad he's playing he seems immune from being dropped or subbed by Dyche.

That doesn't really sound like praising him when its due

You dont get my point.

Yes, yes I do, its just a bit of a desperate one. You may have to accept that one of the many factors managers will consider in selection is the most recent performance and the most recent performance the players competing for his position, certainly doesn't make the manager stupid for not selecting him with these factors as the main contributor

It's fair mate.

Of all the wingers I've seen at the club then he's far from the worst, but he's also so far behind some of them it's untrue.

He's a bottom third of the league calibre player who occasionally scores a beauty but whose overall game is massively lacking.

Ok so start Harrison the next match and McNeil, what if either has a terrible game, do they start the next week still or would Lindstrom come back into the side?

Or do we use a different barometer depending who the player is if they lose their spot?
