Our fans are notoriously bad for giving players they don't like stick nearly every single minute of the game. How would you find it if you were doing your job and every time peoples eyes were on you, you heard groans or snide remarks / shouts. It's off putting especially for a young fella and especially with a guy who is clearly lacking in confidence.

To be fair mate, he's getting paid a lot of money (certainly it would be a lot to me) so he should be able to handle the pressure. If not, he should be in a different profession

Sounds harsh, but those people moaning in the stands essentially pay his wages. If they weren't there, he wouldn't be able to earn what he earns. When you buy that ticket you have the right to complain about what you're seeing on the pitch

Abusing a player either verbally or physically is different of course, but I haven't seen that happen. Even in the away at at The Emirates, when he didn't have a good game at all

This is sadly true. If Lukaku scores six past Chelsea, someone will still be moaning he cost too much, some are just wired that way. I bet they're great fun on a night out.

Unless we can get a Bosman as it's very rare the keeper with splinters is required.

Depends what you think abuse is, though, doesn't it?

"F'ing catch it" or "stop bottling tackles you shthouse" isn't abuse in my book, whereas calling one of your players a tvvat as soon as he steps on the pitch is.
