It's one of them Jinks, look at that Leicester game on Boxing Day. He was like Lev Yashin when balls come into his box. He plucked every cross with dominance and a swagger but he hasn't done that since.

Too many times I find myself going "Catch it, Catch it" and he half punches it away.

I'd just give him the rest of the season anyway, he's better than Stek and we know what we have in him. Give Joel the gloves till the end and see what happens.

He's at least good enough to keep around for another season if we go big on a Pickford in the Summer.

Came out in the first half near the penalty spot to catch the ball, a great MOTM performance!
We would have lost the game by half time two Class saves!

Not in the same manner as he did against Leicester though.

It's a weird one, granted but when you watch them, you can see the difference. Against Leicester he was taking no BS but against Palace there were a few he could have held instead of punching.

He was brilliant against Palace, not taking that away from him like.

I want Pickford and I've made no secret of that but Joel has been excellent this season. Like you said Lou he claimed everything against Palace, his decision making was excellent tonight because it's tough against a side like Stoke to know when to come or not. They put some superb balls into our box tonight and he was excellent.

1st choice all day long for me until end of season as long as he keeps up the hard work that he's obviously putting in at the training ground
